In what might seem like a pittance to the media mogul, Oprah Winfrey just spent more than $28 million on a 23-acre horse farm in Montecito, California on Friday, according to E! News Online.

The Seamair Farm Estate was purchased by the Weight Watchers (WTW) spokeswoman from Sage Auctions, an Iowa-based auction house, for $28,850,000.

Winfrey’s latest piece of real estate is considered a “once in a lifetime property” as it has not been on the market in over 30 years. The home features four bedrooms, five baths, a pool and a filled fish pond.

The property is also equipped with stables and acres of flat farmland that are fit for a modern equestrian. Not included in the purchase are horses, which E! News learned Winfrey did not want.

Despite the lack of horses, she will have celebrity neighbors to keep her company, such as Jeff Bridges, Ellen DeGeneres and Drew Barrymore.

“Obviously, she is a very smart buyer and does have an amazing vision for this property. She had a number of experts inspect different aspects of the property and paid extensive due diligence to the property package we provided,” said Marty Rogers, owner of Sage Auctions, in a press release.

Winfrey has been in the news lately for shedding about 26 pounds on her new Weight Watchers diet, and thanks to her dietary commitment, she’s made a fortune.

That’s because Oprah is a board member and large share owner of the company. Since her initial investment of $43 million in October, she’s made a significant amount of dough , which on a per-pound basis is around $2 million of profits gained for each pound lost.

And if getting slimmer was not good enough, Winfrey also has a new home to revel in her physique.
