Apparently this is the place Captain America would live, or rather, the place the actor playing him would.

Chris Evans, best known for playing Captain America in “Captain America: The First Avengers” and “The Avengers” has purchased a new home in Hollywood Hills for $3.52 million, The Real Estalker reports.

According to property records, the superhero actor fought in a bit of a bidding war. The home was first sold for $1.9 million in June 2012 to what appears to be a company that flipped the home in less than a year, listing it in February for $3.5 million. Evans paid the extra $20,000 to ensure the updated, 1940-built home was his.

Sitting above Laurel Canyon, the home is completely walled and gated, marketed as a ”great celebrity or executive enclave experience.” Measuring 4,599 square feet, the house has 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, a pool and spa. Updates include a master suite featuring a dressing room with separate laundry, radiant heat and a bathroom with a soaking tub and steam shower lined with limestone and Italian Calcutta marble. The kitchen has high-end appliances as well as Italian marble counters.

Time will tell whether Evans will sell his existing Hollywood Hills residence, which he purchased in 2007 for $1.26 million. The Massachusetts native is currently preparing to reprise his famed role in “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” next year. He’s also busy off-screen rekindling his romance with “Friday Night Lights” actress Minka Kelly.
