“Sons of Anarchy” fans may remember meeting Opie in the show’s first season: a bearded, shaggy-haired outlaw just paroled from a five-year stay in prison. In real life, actor Ryan Hurst doesn’t live far from the motorcycle gang’s fictional stomping grounds, but by the looks of his new Woodland Hills home, he’s doing quite well for himself.
Built in 2005, Hurst’s new home is reminiscent of an English cottage with vines growing on all sides. Measuring 4,000 square feet, the traditional estate has 5 bedrooms, a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen and covered patio. Vaulted ceilings with dark wood beams, distressed walnut floors and french doors create a sophisticated, yet elegant feel.
Hurst bought the home with his wife, Molly Cookson, for $1.71 million. Located south of Ventura Boulevard, it’s a 30-minute drive to Beverly Hills, where the couple own a production company, Fast Shoes.
While Hurst’s character was killed in the fifth season of “Sons of Anarchy,” he is currently starring in a new TNT drama series “King & Maxwell.”
