While proving he was more than a cop in the 2002 crime thriller “No Good Deed,” Samuel L. Jackson was also proving he was ready for more than 4,491 square feet in Encino, CA.
The actor and film producer sold his home at 5128 Encino Ave, Encino, CA 91316 for $1.95 million in 2002. Now it’s back on the market as a rental for $6,250 a month.
The gated Los Angeles estate has 4 bedrooms, 5 baths, a formal dining room and a wood-paneled study. While it’s unclear what kind of shape the home was in when Jackson lived there, it’s in need of a little TLC and perhaps a few upgrades to compare with other former celebrity-owned homes.
The house was last sold at a foreclosure auction for $1.6 million in March 2011, according to property records.
After living in the home with wife LaTanya Richardson and daughter Zoe, Jackson went on to purchase 11,738 square feet in Beverly Hills for $8.35 million in June 2000. He has since made several notable appearances on and off screen, surpassing Frank Welker in October 2011 as the highest grossing film actor.
Jackson’s former abode has been on the Encino rental market for 58 days.
