Is this the latest eastern Long Island real estate purchase by the millionaire Goldman Sachs CEO Lloyd Blankfein?

That’s according to Bloomberg News, which is reporting that sources confirmed the Wall Street power broker was the reason a long-listed property on Ocean Road in Bridgehampton, NY was removed as an active listing on Dec. 1. The last list price had been $32.5 million, but it is not clear yet what the purchase price was because Blankfein’s office did not confirm the sale.

According to The Daily Mail, the 58-year-old Blankfein did not care that his new east end playground is not on the ocean. The idea was to get a big house on a big lot. The 8,000-square-foot home was the scene of some gatherings for political and financial heavyweights. The former owners, Matthew Mallow and Ellen Chesler, hosted a fundraiser for President Barack Obama that was attended by Vice President Joe Biden.

Blankfein owns another home nearby as well as a $27 million apartment near Central Park at 15 Central Park West, where he is in good company among the rich and famous.
