When the European architecture firm Bureau Hub set out to design a space for a group of orthodontists in Sicily, they forewent plush seating and friendly colors for, well, stark white, stark white, and more stark white. Today the White Space Orthodontic Clinic, as the office is rather appropriately named, basically features a continuous plane of Corian, a smooth, wipe-able type of acrylic. The project joins the world's growing number of healthcare HQs that have opted for sleek, museum-like interiors—high-design pharmacies, for example, and ultra-minimalist dental offices—over anything, you know, that could possibly get soiled.
