He’s perhaps crass and controversial and he co-hosted “The Man Show” until 2004, but nothing smacks of a true man cave in comedian Adam Carolla’s new home. As a matter of fact, after the father of two went home shopping in the La Canada Flintridge real estate market, he came away with a rather elegant, Spanish-style estate for $2.965 million.
And he is now in the same suburban community as another funny man, Vince Vaughn, according to Real Estalker.
Carolla’s new half-acre property is held under the same trust as his Malibu home, which he purchased in 2007 according to property records. In contrast to his beach pad, the gated La Canada Flintridge estate shows off Spanish architectural details characteristic of homes on the Los Angeles real estate market with exposed beams, vintage chandeliers and covered verandas.
The estate was built in 1921 and features a formal living room with a fireplace as well as a casual family room. The dining room showcases beautiful hardwood floors, while the eat-in kitchen and hallways are lined with terra cotta tile.
Since 2009, Carolla has hosted “The Adam Carolla Show,” which earned a spot in the Guinness World Records as having the most downloaded podcast in 2011. He also made an appearance on “Dancing With the Stars” last year but was axed after he unwisely incorporated a unicycle into a Paso Doble routine, the Real Estalker reports.
