No matter how many guests come through your house during the holidays, we can pretty much guarantee it isn't as many visitors as the White House sees.
How does the White House manage to dazzle its 100,000 or so visitors? With 54 trees and countless trimmings, including the official tree: a 18-foot-6 Fraser fir in the Blue Room, decorated with ornaments by children of U.S. service members around the globe.

For the record: We have no ulterior motive in posting this, just a fondness of holiday spectacle; we'd have posted it no matter who was in the White House. Though we realize that political comments on this post are probably inevitable -- and it certainly wouldn't be in the patriotic spirit to try to silence them -- we'd greatly prefer that any critiques be confined to topics like the decorating style.
