Angelina Jolie Pitt’s Childhood Home for Sale

The Whitney House, a childhood home of Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie Pitt, could be yours for $2.049 million.

Sitting on a secluded 2-acre plot about 25 minutes outside Manhattan in Palisades, NY, the 4-bedroom, 4-bath mid-century modern home boasts over 4,000 square feet.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Jolie Pitt lived in the home with her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, in the 1980s and attended elementary school nearby. Last year Eugene Kohn, a house flipper, purchased The Whitney House for just over $1.2 million with the goal of restoring the home back to its original character.

The spacious, cabin-like home has an open-concept layout and features exposed roof beams and stone walls that climb up to the 30-foot ceiling in the great room. The glass in the gables of the living spaces permits a lot of natural light and provides many areas to admire nature without having to step out the front door.

The lofted second floor lends to the feeling of openness in the home and has tons of square footage, including a designated office area that overlooks the living space downstairs and a balcony that gives gorgeous views of the acreage. The renovated bathrooms are modern and sleek, with luxurious walk-in showers and white marble adorning the master.

The listing agents for the home are Richard Ellis and Brandon Wagner of Ellis Sotheby’s International Realty.
