Super Tuesday winners
Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton swept through the South on Super Tuesday, winning seven and six states, respectively, including delegate-rich states like Georgia and Virginia and appearing ever more likely to end up in a general election showdown.
On the Republican side, Ted Cruz won his home state of Texas, the night’s single biggest prize, and Oklahoma, while Marco Rubio had a disappointing evening, winning only in Minnesota. On the left, Bernie Sanders had a dominant win in his home state of Vermont and clinched victories in Colorado, Minnesota and Oklahoma. (AP)
