The Republican National Committee’s chief technology officer, Azarias Reda, told colleagues he is leaving the committee Friday evening.

“This is my last day at the RNC, and I wanted to send you a quick note. I leave with lots of good friends and memories,” Reda said in an email that he sent out after the close of business Friday. The email was forwarded to Yahoo News by a source.

“Thank you for making this gig interesting and worthwhile. Working in politics has been one of the most interesting couple of years,” Reda wrote.

“Let’s win in 2016 and show ’em!” he signed off in his email.

Reda said he is going to focus his energies on building Republic XV, described by TechCrunch as a “new campaign management platform for Republican candidates.”
