Snow Days, 'Frozen' Drive One Mom to the Brink

We’ve all been there. It’s another snow day. School is closed again. It’s too icy and bitter-cold to go outside or drive anywhere. Cabin fever doesn’t even begin to describe what’s happening — endless requests from little voices to play dolls, build Legos, make a snowman, use the dreaded glitter glue, help with mind-boggling rainbow loom patterns — and all of these requests are serenaded by, I’M BORED.

One North Carolina mom has had enough. Odessa Waters, who often posts on YouTube under the name “Aunt Boo,” vents her frustration over her daughter’s Frozen obsession in a funny video that’s been streamed more than 182,000 times since she posted it last week. Some 8.6 million people watched it on the We Are Parents Facebook page.

"I think most parents can understand what this woman is going through…" jokes one commenter on YouTube.

"What’s the snowman’s name?" she asks, clearly exasperated.

Her ice princess doesn’t miss a beat: “Olaf!” she yells off camera.

STORY: Why Moms Get Nothing Done

"If I ever could choke some cartoon characters — it’d be them," the hilarious, fed-up mom says.

And I think this is something any parent of a Frozen obsessed child, snowed-in for days — might consider being an accessory to. “I’d kill em. If I could!” Waters confesses.

The video ends with her daughter’s high-pitched plea — “Please don’t kill Elsa!” —  and a priceless look from Waters.
