‘Proud’ Coco Fights Shamer Who Accuses Her of Exploiting Newborn
Coco Austin’s newborn daughter, Chanel Nicole, has been busy in the first nine days of her life.
The infant, born Nov. 28, started tweeting the day she was born, has already modeled in her first photo shoot and actively “posts” on Instagram, where she has a staggering 167,000 followers. But Chanel has no bigger fan than Mom — who made headlines this weekend for speaking out against a hater accusing the Ice Loves Coco reality star, 36, of exploiting her baby girl through overexposure on social media.

“Coco darling, don’t exploit your newborn beautiful lil angel … I say with respect honey,” a fan wrote to the model, who is wed to Law & Order: SVU actor and rapper Ice-T, 57, on Facebook on Friday. The comment was posted on an image Austin uploaded, below, showing Chanel in a pose like a disc jockey and captioned “My baby practicing her DJ skills so she can go on [tour] with daddy.”

A day later, the new mom fired back, “How is this exploiting her? I’m proud that I’m finally a mama … does she not look happy?” Austin also shared — via Chanel’s Twitter — that the couple isn’t profiting off of baby photos. “Mom and Dad said they didn’t want any money for my baby pics,” she wrote in the voice of Chanel. “They’re cool like that.”

After having publicly struggled to conceive for more than three years with her husband of 14 years, the reality star turned talk-show host has made no secret of her thrill to finally be a mother. “This week has been the best moments in my life,” she wrote Friday on Facebook, where Austin declared herself “a proud mommy” in a photo holding Chanel in a “miracle” hat. “I wish I could bottle up all the emotions … going through hospital pics comes close enough.”

And the images are going to keep coming, apparently. Posing in “Love”-print PJs for a snap in front of the Christmas tree on Sunday, “Chanel” wrote on Instagram: “My sleeper choice of the day” … Since I have a vast wardrobe already I’m gonna start posting my wardrobe choices … Is that a good idea?” We already know what Mom thinks.
