‘Oops! We’re Pregnant Again’: Couple Spoofs Britney in Viral Baby Announcement

If you get pregnant and your news doesn’t go viral, did it even happen? Not these days, when a Facebook status barely counts as a baby announcement. The latest couple to take a go-big-or-go-home approach to family planning are husband and wife Jerrad and Machel Green, who announced their second pregnancy in a new viral video that finds inspiration from Britney Spears.

The 6-minute video, dubbed “awesome” and “brilliant” on Twitter, has received more than 200K views since it was posted Monday. The footage opens with Machel (who eerily resembles Spears) taking a pregnancy test. “I think we did it again,” she sings to the tune of “Oops!…I Did It Again.” She continues, “I took the test and it’s positive. Oh baby, let’s just keep it hush-hush….at least for three months…”

We then cut to “Month 2: Nauseous” (a play on Spears’ “Toxic”). Machel holds a hamburger and sings, “I want to eat you but you’re making me nauseous.” Month 3 is “I’m a-voiding you” (“I’m a Slave 4 U”), about dodging friends until the couple is ready to share the baby news. Later, we learn that the Greens are having a girl.

The couple, which created the video through their production company Vintage Marquee Lights, is also behind online viral hits “Toddler,” set to Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” and “Cool Mom,” a parody on Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.”

The Greens are due in November. Here’s hoping their birth announcement is epic.
