Moms Furious at Anti-Caesarean Meme

Moms are furious at a web meme claiming women who undergo C-sections are selfish, lazy and doomed to hell. The so-called Disciples of the New Dawn posted several pictures of women with C-section scars, encouraging Christians to call out women who elected not to undergo natural childbirth for their laziness, and to identify these mothers by their “guilt scars.”
Appalled mothers are sharing the post in a frenzy, sending the meme viral. The pinned tweet at the top of the Facebook page has attracted more than 60,000 comments and shares, and says:
“Pregnancy is a beautiful thing as it is the zenith of a woman’s role in a moral Christian society. If God has decided to call you home, it is not up to you or a doctor to reject Him. You may find yourself cast into the lake of fire for doing so. God’s Peace.”
The comments are filled with women sharing their C-section experiences, and pushing the post on to other friends in disgust. The cult behind the troll-meme is the work of the self-styled figure Father Patrick Embry, who has a history of religious rants against women’s rights.
Mom’s forums as far afield as Australia are urging others to report the page for hate speech, resurfacing old online petitions and rival Facebook groups which previously rallied to protest against the cult. The Facebook page purportedly belongs to an extreme Christian sect which has been driven underground, but their content choices have many people wondering if it exists at all, despite reporters claiming they have spoken to Embry via Facebook. The pro-gun, pro-life Disciples of the New Dawn run multiple Twitter accounts and several Facebook pages, including a militia group and a page for junior members, which the angry mob of moms have yet to discover.
