Most citizens of England will always think of July 22, 2013, and May 2, 2015, as the birthdays of Prince George and Princess Charlotte. But to Monika Tano, those dates are more personal: They are the days she says she gave birth to her daughters.

Tano beat some remarkable odds when she had her second daughter on Saturday, as the 35-year-old has now given birth on the same day as Kate Middleton twice, according to the Daily Mail.

“The odds of such a thing are about 1 in 130,000. That’s about the same as getting 17 heads in a row when tossing a fair coin,” Professor David J. Hand, author of The Improbability Principle: Why Coincidences, Miracles, and Rare Events Happen Every Day, tells Yahoo Parenting.

Now a mother of three—6-year-old Franek, 22-month-old Liliana and newborn Aurelia — Tano had her daughter seven hours before Princess Charlotte was born. Unlike Kate, who gave birth in the elite Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital, Tano gave birth at home, aided by Aurelia’s father.

Yahoo Parenting was unable to reach Tano for comment.

Tano’s newest daughter was a week early, and speculation is that Middleton was about a week late, so Tano said she never expected for a second royal birthday. “When I got pregnant, people joked that it could happen but we thought it was so unlikely we forgot all about it,” she told the Daily Mail. “It feels amazing to have two children who share royal births, it is just fantastic.”

And while the odds were against her, Hand says it’s not surprising that this could have happened. “According to UNICEF, about 350,000 babies are born each day around the world. So, 350,000 mothers had a baby on the same day that Kate Middleton gave birth to Prince George. Obviously quite a few of these will go on to have a second baby this year, and, for each of those who did, there’s a 1 in 365 chance that this second one will be born on the same day as Princess Charlotte,” he says. “So, while it’s exciting for the woman in question, that she had her two babies on these two days, the fact is that it would be really extraordinary if it hadn’t happened to someone, somewhere around the world.”

Still, Tano is in awe of the coincidence. “I was still in hospital and checked the news on my phone and couldn’t believe it when she had her baby daughter too,” she said.

The people who will be most excited? Liliana and Aurelia, probably. As Tano told The Daily Mail, “It will definitely be a story for my two little girls to tell all their friends when they are grown up.”
