Fashion-Forward Toddler Born With One Arm Gets Instagram Famous

At only 14 months old, this toddler is well on his way to becoming a fashion icon. He’s more proof that different is beautiful.

Oakley Lynch was born with symbrachydactyly, a rare condition resulting in his right arm not growing below the forearm. Symbrachydactyly occurs in only about one in 32,000 newborns, according to Boston Children’s Hospital.

His parents Victoria and Greg Lynch, from Berkshire, England, decided to use Oakley’s natural ability in front of the camera to spread awareness about limb differences and promote acceptance.

Victoria Lynch posts daily photos of her son and his chic outfits on Instagram for his nearly 16,000 followers.

Clothing brands from all over the world began sending Oakley gifts as he gained popularity online. The tot now has more than 40 pairs of shoes, 20 hats, 50 bibs, more than 50 T-shirts, 20 jumpers and countless blankets, books and cuddly toys, according to the Daily Mail.

“I think it’s a really amazing thing what Victoria has done setting up this account,” Greg Lynch tells Barcroft TV in the video below. “It’s raising awareness that the children born slightly different, aren’t any different at all.”
