“I hope you’re not joking,” Ethan adds. “He can sleep in my bed if he wants!”

Ethan gets more and more excited – promising to tell his teacher the news and squealing – and then begins to ask questions about how the baby was conceived, which his mom expertly deflects.

“I’m so happy … there’s a baby coming out!” Ethan says. “You’re [having] a baby like me! I can hold it!”

Bromby, who is from Scunthorpe, England, which is about 160 miles north of London, tells the local newspaper she’s due in January.

“I was expecting him to take it well because he has been pestering me about having a brother or sister,” she tells the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

She’ll find out the baby’s gender in September, and her son can hardly wait. “He wants a little sister, but he knows that he can’t choose,” she says.

She also jokes that friends and family have “gone crazy” over the video. Indeed, most commenters on YouTube can’t get enough. “This just made my year :) he is such a kind boy,” writes one, while another says, “OMG cutest kid ever! my face hurts from grinning!” and a third weighs in with, “He is so adorable. And that accent makes it 10 times cuter!!”
