40-Weeks-Pregnant Mom Impressively Dances to ‘Thriller’
When Bonnie Northsea reached her due date on Wednesday, a friend said she needed to walk around or dance to help naturally induce labor. “I’ve always loved ‘Thriller,’ but I haven’t done the dance in five years,” the 32-year mom, who also has a 3-year-old son, tells Yahoo Parenting. “I pulled up a YouTube instructional video, did the dance, and figured I’d record it. I thought it would be something cute to make my friends laugh on Facebook.”

But the video — in which Northsea is wearing a blue sports bra and leggings, and impressively nails the classic dance while sporting a full-term belly — has gotten the attention of more than just her friends. Since posting it on Wednesday afternoon, the video has been shared nearly 6,000 times and received more than 1,100 likes.
The positive reaction has been a welcome pick-me-up for Northsea, who lives in Gainesville, Florida. Last month her husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer, so the video’s attention has been a good distraction, she says. “It’s been a really hard month, but I did this video partly to take my mind off everything,” he said. “It’s been so much fun.”

Now two days past her due date, Northsea says she’s anxiously awaiting her second son’s arrival. “I’m hoping I go into labor today but I don’t think it’s happening,” she says. “My husband says I have to do more ‘Thriller’ dancing.”
