If you've seen Disney's Tangled, then you probably know that the character of Flynn Rider is voiced by Zachary Levi.
And if it wasn't for a little white lie, Levi might've never voiced the role at all.
During a recent appearance on The Late Late Show With James Corden, Levi revealed that he had to fake being British to get an audition. Yes, really.
“They wanted him to have an English accent and they wouldn’t even see American actors," Levi told Corden about the audition process.
After some behind-the-scenes maneuvers from his agent, Levi was able to get an audition — and when it was his time to step up, he faked a British accent. "And then they gave me the job — based on my English accent,” he explained.
Great news! But there was one more twist: "Later, they said, ‘You know what? I think we’re going to do it with an American accent. Can you do that?’"
