The New York Mets completed a free agency trifecta Friday night.

After agreeing to deals with Eduardo Escobar and Mark Canha earlier in the evening, New York landed speedy center fielder Starling Marte on a four-year, $78 million deal, reported Jon Heyman.

The 33-year-old adds a stolen base threat to the Mets lineup. Marte swiped an MLB-leading 47 bases last season – matching his career high.

Marte also batted .310 with 12 home runs, 89 runs and 55 RBI while playing for the Miami Marlins and Oakland A's in 2021.

An All-Star in 2016 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Marte won two Gold Gloves in 2015-16.

Marte, who also spent parts of two seasons with the Arizona Diamondbacks, has 296 stolen bases in his 10-year career.
