WT student placed in custody after report of threat Wednesday

A West Texas A&M University student was placed into custody Wednesday after reports of a threat.

According to a WT statement, "West Texas A&M University Police Department sought a student of interest today on campus following reports of threatening statements.

"Despite social media rumors, there was no active threat on campus. The student was placed into custody in Tulia by mid-afternoon Sept. 28. More information will be released as it becomes available."
