Wrestling: Conner Lander, J.J. Poynter go 2-0 for Henderson County in tri-meet

HENDERSON, Ky. -- Henderson County lost to both North Posey and Daviess County in a tri-meet on Tuesday.

North Posey finished 2-0 with a 72-12 over Daviess County and a 68-12 victory over Henderson County.

Heavyweight Conner Lander and 165-pounder J.J. Poynter, who were 2-0 on the day, picked up the Colonels' only wins over the Vikings. Both of their wins came by pin.

Daviess County defeated Henderson County 52-25. In addition to wins from Lander and Poynter, the Colonels picked up victories from 120-pounder Dylan Bishop, 175-pounder Jaxson Wallace and 190-pounder Oston Bennett. Lander and Bishop both won their matches by pin.

Henderson County will be in action again Saturday at the Reitz Hill Classic Dual Tournament in Evansville.
