Woman's Forum to host 42nd Annual Christmas Tour of Homes

Wichita Falls is full of long-time traditions; one of them being the Senior-Junior Forum Christmas Tour of Homes.

The Senior-Junior Forum invites the community to attend this year's event Thursday, December 8 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be a hot chocolate and ice tea bar at the Women's Forum off Speedway Avenue, door prizes and each visitor can enjoy the eight uniquely decorated houses.

One of the homes open for the tour is that of the Albert family.

Deana Albert and her husband Michael are offering their home for viewing as part of the tour. Their home is located at 5601 Quail Ridge and is one of four tour homes in the Quail Ridge area.

Each home has a different theme of decorations. Deana has a love for art, along with her daughter, and this paved the way for her art-themed home.

Deana also loves gnomes. The inside of her home is filled with gnomes, which she keeps as part of her Christmas decorations.

Deana's home is one of eight homes in the tour. Other homes have their own themes, like a farmhouse or a natural feel. This gives each home a unique look and the visitors can experience different designs.

The Senior-Junior Forum, a department of the Women's Forum, is hosting the event in partnership with the Arts Council.

The Senior-Junior Forum raises money throughout the year, including from this event, that they donate to nonprofits.

"I joined for the community service but also enjoy having a group of women that support each other, get to work together, socialize and have fun together...and everyone is so kind and it's a great organization."
