Jessica-Joan Richards logged onto LinkedIn to upload something she never thought she would share on the platform — her picture.In a now-viral post, Richards, explained that following a body-shaming incident at a previous place of employment….she decided to delete her LinkedIn photo, in fear that her weight may ward off other professional opportunities.Richards told ITK that the experience began after a medical diagnosis that would require her to attend multiple doctor’s appointments.After informing management, Richards says she was subjected to negative comments about her appearance.Even after handing in her notice, the toxic work atmosphere impacted Richards long after she left the particular employer.Richards hopes that by speaking out, she can prevent others from enduring the same hardships she had to go through
