Wisconsin broke two significant streaks with today’s 30-13 win over Purdue

Wisconsin got back over .500 on the season thanks to today’s 30-13 victory over Purdue. The win improves the Badgers to 2-2 in Big Ten play with five Big Ten West games remaining.

Today was a statement win in a way for Paul Chryst’s team. The defense finally opened the turnover floodgates, Braelon Allen continues to show star power and the team as a whole is finding a winning identity.

Now if the Badgers clean up mistakes with ball security, on special teams and on third down, the group has a chance to make a run down the stretch of the season and capture a Big Ten West title.

It’s worth noting that Wisconsin broke a few significant streaks with today’s win:

First win against a ranked team since November 2019

Wisconsin was winless in its last eight contests against ranked teams.

First 30-point game in seven Big Ten contests

Last year’s 49-11 victory over Michigan was Wisconsin’s last conference game with more than 30 points.
