Wisconsin basketball is left out of latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll
Despite beating Dayton, USC and nearly Kansas in the Battle 4 Atlantis last week, the Wisconsin Badgers remain outside the latest USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll.
The Badgers, unfortunately, garnered only 15 votes this week, which is one less than they received last week. This is not completely bad news, as the Badgers have moved up to the fifth-team receiving votes outside the poll from sixth in the previous poll.
It is a bit surprising to see the Badgers not make the cut, but they will have plenty of opportunities to add to their resume in conference play since six Big Ten teams are currently ranked.
The USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll top 10 for this week includes Baylor(10), Kansas(9), Indiana(8), Creighton(7), Connecticut6), Purdue(5), Arizona(4), Virginia(3), Texas(2) and Houston(1).
Wisconsin will have another chance to impress the country in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Tuesday night.
