Dec. 5—TRUMBULL — The Windsor High football team is heading back to the state championship game for the first time since 2016.

Windsor (11-1) outscored St. Joseph 22-0 in the second half.

St. Joseph (10-2) had its streak of four straight championship game appearances snapped.

The Warriors won their lone state title in 2014.

Max Warren scored four touchdowns in the first half as St. Joseph built a 31-13 lead at the break.
