The Slovenian upset Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad Maia in the opening round and the winner of this match will benefit from an open section of the draw.

Another victory for Tim van Rijthoven! He only won his first ATP Tour level match last month, on his way to winning a stunning title at Hertogenbosch, but his fairytale rise continues with a straight sets win over Nikoloz Basilashvili. It could be Djokovic next for the 25-year-old.

Jelena Ostapenko races to another emphatic victory at the All England Club as the 2018 semi-finalist recovers from an early setback to cap a 3-6 6-1 6-1 victory over Irina-Camelia Begu. There’s a big beaming smile on the face of the Latvian, who poses for a picture with a fan holding a bagel (?) before heading off court. She could face Maria Sakkari in the next round.

Tiafoe, meanwhile, produces some high-quality tennis to beat Bublik 7-1 in the second-set tiebreak.

Wimbledon

12:32 , Jamie Braidwood

After years of being Wimbledon’s plucky loser, is this the time for Heather Watson to reach the fourth round of a grand slam for the first time? Now 30, Watson is attempting to set foot in new ground as she takes on Kaja Juvan after a couple of heartbreaking third-round defeats in previous years. There was the three-set thriller against Serena Williams in 2015, as Watson served for the match at 5-4 in the third, before the British player squandered a one-set lead against Victoria Azarenka two years later.

Meanwhile, the remarkable story of Tim Van Rijthoven continues on Court No 12. The 25-year-old Dutchman won his first ATP Tour title as a wildcard ranked outside the top 200 in the world just a few weeks ago to enter the Wimbledon draw.

He now leads the 22 seed Nikoloz Basilashvili 6-4 5-1 and is cruising his way towards a remarkable fourth-round match, potentially against Novak Djokovic.

Wimbledon

Better from Tiafoe as the 23rd seed breaks Bublik in the opening game. The American reacts well to dropping his first set of the tournament but if faced with a lengthy service game as he looks to consolidate it.

Ostapenko also reponds to break Begu early in the second. The Latvian has to be a contender in an open quarter of the draw.
