A costume-clad child looking for a treat at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue instead got tricked when the president placed candy on top of the kid's head.

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania on Monday handed out candy bars and other goodies to children in front of a decorated White House, as is Halloween tradition, when a child dressed as a minion approached the pair.

Apparently confused by the trick-or-treater's inflatable getup, the president can be seen placing a Hershey bar on the visitor's head instead of inside their candy bag, a move which was swiftly followed by Melania.

As the child walks away from the pair, both candy bars can be seen sliding right off the top of the bright yellow suit, which clearly catches the eye of the first lady, who laughs the comedic incident off before returning back to handing out candy.

Although the Trumps didn't don any festive attire for the event, Melania still stunned in a Michael Kors trench dress and Manolo Blahnik BB pumps.
