We're just a few weeks away from the Queen's history-making Platinum Jubilee celebrations, so fans and the Royal Family alike are busy preparing for the big event, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who – after months of speculationconfirmed their attendance earlier this month. "Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, are excited and honoured to attend The Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations this June with their children," a spokesperson for the royal couple announced.

But, given that this will be the first time that the couple, as well as their two children, visit the UK as a family of four, plenty of questions have been raised about the logistics of their trip, including where they'll stay.

While you'd be forgiven for thinking they'll be hiring out the penthouse suite at luxury hotel, or rooming with Her Majesty at Windsor Castle, the Sussex family will actually head back to their former home, Frogmore Cottage. The property name should ring a bell, as the pair made headlines after spending major £££ on renovations before moving in and then moving back out again following their decision to step down as senior working royals.

Since then, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex – who renewed their lease on the property in February 2022, cementing Harry's role as one of the Queen's counsellors of state – have rented the cottage out to Princess Eugenie, who currently lives their with her husband, Jack Brooksbank, and their son, August.

Thankfully, Eugenie and co. wont be ousted from the cottage to make way for the Sussexes, as the Daily Mail reports that there are as many as 10 bedrooms at Frogmore, so plenty of room for both families. "Eugenie will likely open up the guest bedrooms of Frogmore Cottage to accommodate the family of four during their visit," the publication noted.

Poor Eugenie hasn't had the best luck as of late, however, when it comes to royal abodes. In fact, it was recently reported that she had her eyes set on a new home – Adelaide Cottage – but was pipped to the post by Prince William and Kate Middleton, who've been considering a move of their own in recent months.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, sources close to Eugenie said that her father, Prince Andrew, had been "trying to secure Adelaide Cottage for a while for when she moves out of Frogmore". Although it's not clear whether the 32-year-old royal is still interested in Adelaide Cottage, the Daily Mail points out that "there is no doubt" that the Cambridge family would have the first pick.
