Westlife's Mark Feehily shares first glimpse of newborn daughter with fiance Cailean O’Neill
Westlife’s Mark Feehily has welcomed his first daughter with his fiance Cailean O’Neill - and the way he announced the little one’s birth couldn’t have been cuter.
Posting on Instagram on Thursday 3 October, the 39-year-old shared an adorable photo of himself and O’Neill wheeling along a hospital cot, in which their family’s tiny new addition was all bundled up and sleeping peacefully inside.
“Baby Layla born safe & sound @ 7.27pm on October 1st 2019! We’re the happiest Dads in the world,” Feehily captioned the image, which also saw the new fathers stick their index fingers up in the air in excitement.

Fans and several famous faces shared the congratulations on the post, from singer-songwriter JC Stewart and Hollyoaks actor Jodi Albert to Bryan McFadden’s ex Delta Goodrem.
“I feel like Christmas came early!!!” Albert gushed. “I love you 3 so much!!!”
Feehily’s journey to becoming a father has been a lengthy one, having first revealed that he and O’Neill were making plans to expand their family back in May of last year.
“Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “It makes this my most special birthday EVER to let everyone know that later this year we will become Dads for the first time. This is the proudest moment of our lives and we are beyond excited to say it out loud! M&Cx.”

The pair got engaged in February when Feehily popped the question while they were holidaying in the Maldives. However, fans didn’t know the exact identity of the man the singer was in a relationship with at the time.
During the pop group’s sold-out show in Dublin’s Croke Park in July 2019, an excited Feehily told the audience that he and O’Neill were expecting a girl and that they both couldn’t wait to raise her in Ireland.
