Cavemen baseball has road-and-home series with Clovis
At 5 p.m. Thursday at Clovis High School Carlsbad begins league play against the Wildcats.
The Cavemen swept Clovis last year in District 5-4A action. Wins against Clovis could boost the Cavemen right now as the team rides a two-game losing streak.
Artesia defeated the Cavemen April 6 in Carlsbad. Carlsbad was defeated by Rio Rancho March 25 in the title game of the Sal Puentes Rio Rancho Tournament.

At 4:30 p.m. Friday at Carlsbad High School the Cavemen host Clovis in a doubleheader.
Cavegirls softball starts District 5-4A action at home this week
At 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Carlsbad High School the Cavegirls host Clovis in a doubleheader.
Carlsbad ended the non-league portion of the schedule with a 19-1 victory over the Artesia Lady Bulldogs March 30 in Carlsbad.
The Cavegirls won the district regular season title last year with an 11-1 record.
Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Roswell the Cavegirls take on the Roswell Lady Coyotes in a doubleheader.

Carlsbad track teams hit the road to Clovis
Friday in Clovis the Carlsbad Cavemen and Cavegirls track teams participate in the Clovis Wildcat Invitational. The Carlsbad track teams have two more district and state qualifying meets in April before the District 5-4A meet May 5 at Carlsbad High School.
Carlsbad tennis teams travel to Roswell for district matches
Friday at Roswell the Carlsbad High School tennis teams participate in the second District 5-4A matches of the season.
League play for the Cavemen and Cavegirls began April 6 in Carlsbad against Clovis.
Loving Lady Falcons softball hosts Dora and travels to Clovis
At 3 p.m. Tuesday at Loving the Lady Falcons hosts Dora in a District 2-4A doubleheader.
The Lady Falcons started league play Saturday with a 19-4 win over Eunice.
At noon Saturday at Jal the Lady Panthers host the Lady Falcons in a doubleheader.
Loving Falcons baseball starts district play at home
Saturday at 11 a.m. in Loving the Falcons host Eunice in a District 2-4A doubleheader.
In 2022 the Falcons went 3-3 in league play and lost to the Capitan Tigers in the second round of the 2A state playoffs.
Loving track season nears end in 2023
Friday at 3 p.m. in Eunice the Loving Falcons and Lady Falcons track teams participate in the W.A. Goodman Relays.
April 20 at Loving the Falcons and Lady Falcons host the Flying Falcon Invitational.

Friday at 5 p.m. in Artesia the Bulldogs host Portales in the District 4-4A opener.
The Bulldogs ended the non-district portion of the schedule April 6 with a 6-3 victory over the Cavemen in Carlsbad
Artesia softball seeks to remain unbeaten in district play
At 5 p.m. Tuesday in Artesia the Lady Bulldogs host Goddard in a District 4-4A doubleheader.
Artesia started district play April 6 with a road sweep of Portales.

Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lovington the Lady Bulldogs play the Lady Wildcats in a doubleheader.

Artesia tennis hosts district matches this week
At 3 p.m. Tuesday in Artesia the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs entertain Lovington in District 4-4A matches.
At 3 p.m. Thursday in Artesia the New Mexico Military Institute Colts and Lady Colts face the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs for another District 4-4A match.
