Week in Art: Boulder Arts Commission invites input for the year ahead with event at R Gallery

Boulder Arts Commission presents The Year Ahead: Artists and organizations are invited to this annual event that will look at what 2023 has to offer in the Boulder County arts scene. Participants can give one-minute, informal presentations on the performances, exhibits, installations and new works that they are looking forward to or what they are doing in the coming year. Dairy Arts Center closes 'Vessel': Exhibit "Vessel" closes this weekend with a reception offering one final look at the display that had artists explore the vessel's fluid boundaries through unconventional art. East Window's poetry series: "Mothers and Monsters," opening Friday, is a collaborative poetry reading and exhibition featuring Toni Oswald, Sarah Elizabeth Schantz, Jaclyn Eccesso and Sara Veglahn. Longmont Museum opens 'Duality': "Duality: Contemporary Works by Indigenous Artists," showcases unique and authentic artists who highlight the resurgence of contemporary art for Native people in recent years.
