Wednesday's Top Prep Performers from basketball and soccer

Highlights from Wednesday in high school sports:

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • O’Neil Drury had 23 points, five rebounds and five steals, Chris Alfaro scored 15 points and Kamden Kiech added nine points to lead Rio Mesa (12-6, 3-0) to a 78-52 victory over Ventura in a Pacific View League game. Luke Anestos scored 13 points, Thomas Anter had 12 points, and Tyler Woodworth and Travis Valenzuela each had nine points for the Cougars (4-16, 1-4).

  • Bobby Barajas finished with 20 points, five assists and five steals, Reese Widerburg had 15 points and six rebounds, and Dylan O'Neill had 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead Oxnard (15-4, 5-0) to a 64-38 win over Buena in a Pacific View League game. Darin Cole scored 14 points and Colin Guenther had seven points for the Bulldogs (9-13, 2-3).

  • Caleb Chin finished with 21 points, eight rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks, Patrick Saari had 12 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals, Jack Munro had 11 points, six rebounds and two steals, Trevor Meikle had 11 points and four rebounds, and Ben Greenberg scored seven points to lead Thousand Oaks (13-3, 3-0) to a 66-46 win over Westlake in a Marmonte League game. Trent MacLean had 12 points and five rebounds, River Ortiz had 11 points and six rebounds, and Marcus Lesser had 10 points and four assists for the Warriors (13-4, 2-2).

  • Jack Benyshek scored 16 points, Mikey Ishoo had 14 points and Ryder Henderson added nine points to lead Simi Valley (18-2, 3-1) to a 71-51 win over Camarillo in a Coastal Canyon League game. Jordan Torres poured in a game-high 27 points and Marcos Jaquez and Isaac Means each had seven points for the Scorpions (13-10, 1-2).

  • Isaiah Sherrard finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds, Jacob Jordan scored 12 points, Niko Limberopoulos had nine points and two assists, and Seshsha Henderson added six points and three assists to lead Oak Park (16-4, 4-0) to an 80-41 victory over Royal in a Coastal Canyon League game. Drew Romano scored 19 points and Will Jagard had 10 points for the Highlanders.

  • Samson Hall finished with 25 points to become the fifth player in program history to reach 1,000 points in his career and also grabbed 10 rebounds as Moorpark defeated Castaic 87-63 in a nonleague game. Nick Parrott scored 21 points, Braeden Kyle had 16 points and 12 rebounds, and Lucas Fenske had 15 points for the Musketeers (13-8).

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Gabriela Jaquez finished with 39 points, six rebounds, seven steals and two assists and Emily Lim had 17 points and four steals to lead unbeaten Camarillo to a 71-18 victory over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League game. Anika Carey had four points and seven assists, Christa Contreras had four points and six rebounds, and Jezzmyn Collins added two points, six rebounds and two steals. The Scorpions (20-0, 3-0) won their 51st straight league game, tying for the sixth longest streak by a girls team in county history, and became the 18th girls team with a 20-game overall winning streak. Faith Madsen scored 10 points to lead the Pioneers.

  • Mariah Elohim finished with 22 points, nine steals and three rebounds, London Gamble had 18 points, 10 assists, seven rebounds and six steals, Alyssa Jackson had seven points, two assists and two steals, Devin Feiereisen had seven points, two rebounds and two assists, and Payton Stern added four points, three rebounds and three assists to lead Westlake (11-5, 3-1) to a 70-13 win over Thousand Oaks (5-11, 0-3) in a Marmonte League game.

  • Arianna Duarte had 11 points, three rebounds, three steals and two assists, Faith Stockton finished with 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals, Anessa Reyes had 10 points, five rebounds and two assists, and Alyssa Garcia had seven points and two rebounds to lead Santa Paula to a 62-19 win over Fillmore in a Citrus Coast League game. Miahanna Galvan contributed six points, five steals and five assists and Natalie Segura had four points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Cardinals (9-10, 3-0). Erika Sanchez scored eight point and Sofia Aviles had seven points for the Flashes (0-5, 0-1).

  • Avanthika Ramasamy finished with 14 points, three assists and two steals, Billie Yanez had 10 points and eight rebounds, Jasmine Berry had seven points and 16 rebounds, and Megan Levin added seven points and five rebounds to lead Moorpark (13-2) to a 48-43 win over Shalhevet in a nonleague game.

BOYS SOCCER

  • Gerardo Aguilar had a goal and an assist, Jesus Avendaño, Andres Gutierrez and Juan Servin scored goals, and Andy Rincon and Anthony Aguilar had assists to lead Hueneme (10-3-1, 4-0) to a 4-0 victory over Carpinteria in a Citrus Coast League match.

  • Fillmore (3-6-2, 1-1-1) and Santa Paula (4-11-1, 1-2) played to a 1-1 draw in a Citrus Coast League match. For the Flashes, Jared Ramos scored the goal off an assist from Adrian Perez.

  • Eric Valadez netted a hat trick and Aiden Trahan had a goal to lead Camarillo (8-8-2, 1-2) to a 4-1 win over Simi Valley in a Coastal Canyon League match. Muadh Elyamani scored the goal for the Pioneers (1-7-2, 1-3).

  • Charles Chowana and Zach Harris each scored two goals, Nate Kapitz and Jason Moore had goals, and Tyler Cash had an assist to lead Oak Park (8-1-2, 4-0) to a 6-0 win over Royal (3-12-1, 0-3) in a Coastal Canyon League match.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Amaya Espardinez had a goal and an assist, Amber Ponder and Caelyn Jurado scored goals, and Anneliese Wong had an assist to lead Camarillo (4-4, 2-1) to a 3-1 victory over Simi Valley (1-11, 0-3) in a Coastal Canyon League match.

  • Oak Park and Royal played to a 2-2 draw in a Coastal Canyon League match. For the Eagles (5-3-3, 2-1-1), Malea Johnson had a goal and an assist, Brooke Ly scored a goal and Emma Rale had an assist. For the Highlanders (1-6-2, 0-2-1), Avery Neri and Kamryn Izquirdo scored goals.

  • Marlene Gonzalez finished with two goals and an assist, Athena Sanchez scored a goal, and Karissa Terrazas had an assist to lead Fillmore (3-3-3, 3-0) to a 3-2 victory over Santa Paula in a Citrus Coast League match.
