Watermark to host online auction for 'Umbrellas of Unity' exhibit

Sep. 28—BEMIDJI — Watermark Art Center will host an online auction for its "Umbrellas of Unity" exhibit on Oct. 3-12, at Watermark Art Center, 505 Bemidji Ave. N.

"Umbrellas of Unity"

is a group show celebrating diversity while encouraging conversations and connections between people. Conceptualized by local Batik artist Mary Therese, visitors are invited to enjoy the space underneath the umbrella exhibit while reflecting on the messages depicted in the colorful images, a release said.

All 17 umbrellas are on display in the Kaul Gallery (visible from Bemidji Avenue) or online at

watermarkartcenter.org/umbrellas-of-unity.

The auction begins at noon on Monday, Oct. 3, at the Kaul Gallery and will run through noon on Wednesday, Oct. 12. The exhibit will close Saturday, Oct. 22.

All bids must be submitted online. A credit/debit card is required to bid. The link to the auction will be provided at
