Watch the Into the Spider-Verse suit in action in new Miles Morales game
Miles Morales threads from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse are crossing over into another Spider-Verse.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, the upcoming videogame for Playstation 4 and the new Playstation 5, will arrive this November with a pre-order bonus in the form of the Into the Spider-Verse web-slinger suit.
Justin K. Thompson, the film's production designer, helped announce the news by releasing new gameplay footage of the suit in action. "We were able to advise on some of the unique design elements that made the film so distinct," he said, including their "recommendations on how best to integrate the pop-up words and the little burst cards on screen into the action sequences."
Set one year after the events of Marvel's Spider-Man, which released on Playstation 4 in 2018, Miles Morales picks up with the teen Miles as he's getting used to his new role as one of two Spider-Men. His Harlem home falls prey to a war between the nefarious energy corporation Roxxon and a high-tech criminal army called The Underground, led by The Tinkerer.
Players will be able to access multiple other Miles suits in the game, including the character's beginner's suit in Spider-Verse, a cat suit that comes with a Spider-Cat companion in his backpack, and the 2020 suit as seen in Saladin Ahmed and Javier Garron's Miles Morales: Spider-Man comics.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales arrives this Nov. 12.
