Mississippi State comes into the matchup 36-25 overall. Most recently, MS State defeated South Florida 6-0 on Saturday night and won 5-0 over FSU in the first game on Sunday.

Florida State enters the contest 54-6 overall. On Saturday, FSU beat South Florida 8-0 in five innings.
