Watch this man completely transform his home into a winter wonderland

"Christmas is my favorite time of the year," Joe DiMartino told In The Know.

DiMartino is the owner and decorator of what people affectionately refer to as "the Christmas house" in Staten Island. For three months, DiMartino hangs up over 9,000 lights and offers tours of the scenery to anyone who wants to join him in celebrating the holidays. Every year he aims to be finished decorating by Thanksgiving day.

"It's priceless, it makes me really, really happy," DiMartino said. "And the more people that come, the happier I get."

There is also a sentimental value to all the decor: DiMartino's wife, Debra, passed away during the attacks on Sept. 11th, so DiMartino keeps a donation box out front to raise money for the Pediatric Cancer Unit at Staten Island University Hospital, which was a cause that was close to Debra's heart.
