Watch Kelly Clarkson give her own twist to 'Set Fire to the Rain' in latest Adele cover

Kelly Clarkson proved once again she knows how to cover an Adele hit, this time delivering a passionate rendition of "Set Fire to the Rain."

Clarkson performed the cover on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" Tuesday with her My Band Y'all in the latest version of "Kellyoke," where she has covered numerous hit songs including "Better Man (Taylor's version)" two weeks ago.

This time she brought strong vibrato to the song that won the British singer a Grammy Award for best pop solo performance in 2013. Social media was loving the rendition, with one user on Twitter saying Clarkson, "really set fire to the rain."

Clarkson's past appreciation of Adele

This wasn't the fire time Clarkson has covered an Adele song on her show.

She performed a cover of "Rumour Has It" in November, as well as covers of "Water Under the Bridge," "Send My Love," and "Rolling In the Deep" in 2021 as part of her "Kellyoke" segment.

Clarkson said in a 2012 interview with Rolling Stone said she has been a fan of Adele since she released "Chasing Pavements" in 2008. Since then, Adele has gone on to win 16 Grammy awards, including her recent win for best pop solo performance with "Easy on Me."
