An eight-year-old starred in goal for Major League Soccer team Seattle Sounders against Borussia Dortmund.

Bheem Goyal is battling leukaemia and started with the Sounders team against Dortmund in a pre-season friendly for the German club.

Goyal made a save with his feet from a long range Dortmund shot and then passed the ball to a Seattle defender.

He was then substituted to a roar from all sides of the ground as he made his way off the pitch to the substitutes bench, where he received high-fives from the Sounders’ substitutes and coaching staff.

Earlier in the week, Goyal had trained with the team and had his replica shirt signed by the players as mark of Make-A-Wish, a charity that creates life changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Dortmund beat Seattle Sounders 3-1 in the friendly. Seattle sit second in the MLS Eastern Conference, 11 points off top spot with 20 games played.
