WATCH: Desmond Ridder throws game-winning TD on 4th down in preseason debut

The 2022 NFL draft class didn’t have the kind of star power of the previous season, but it did offer some potential bargains for teams in the middle rounds.

One such pick was Cincinnati’s Desmond Ridder, who landed with the Atlanta Falcons in the third round.

Ridder wasted little time proving himself at the next level, closing out his NFL preseason debut with a touchdown pass on fourth down in the final minutes to seal the victory for the Falcons.

Veteran Marcus Mariota is expected to be Atlanta’s starter heading into the regular season, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Ridder steals the job away at some point later in the year.
