WATCH: Crowd erupts as LSU women's basketball's Alexis Morris hits go-ahead 3-pointer in OT

In a back-and-forth battle that featured 16 ties, senior guard Alexis Morris sank a dagger for No. 3 LSU women's basketball Thursday night.

With less than 50 seconds remaining in overtime and the game against Georgia tied at 74, Morris launched a 3-pointer from the corner to send the sellout crowd at Pete Maravich Assembly Center into delirium.

The Bulldogs (15-8, 4-5 SEC) led for more than 25 minutes. They never trailed in the fourth quarter, leading by as many as nine points before a rally by the Tigers (22-0, 10-0) sent the game to overtime.

After the sixth lead change of the extra frame, Georgia's Diamond Battles tied it up with a free throw. Each teamed turned it over and then LSU took the lead for good on Morris' deep shot.

The Tigers and No. 1 South Carolina are the only undefeated teams left in the women's DI ranks. They'll meet in Columbia, South Carolina, on Feb. 12 (1 p.m. CT, ESPN).

LSU's next game is Sunday at Texas A&M (1 p.m. CT, ESPN2).
