Watch 10-year-old Uvalde shooting victim leave hospital to cheers from nurses

A Robb Elementary student who was injured during a mass shooting in Uvalde in May has been discharged from a San Antonio hospital.

Mayah Zamora was taken to University Hospital in critical condition on May 24 after being shot and injured in three places, according to her brother Ruben Zamora. She underwent numerous surgeries and may require future hospital visits, according to a GoFundMe page organized by her family. But despite facing a long recovery, Zamora was able to go home after 66 days at the hospital.

As the 10-year-old left she gave flowers to nurses who cheered her name before waving goodbye to her.
