Warriors improve to 2-0; Oxford Prep earns home victory

Nov. 26—OXFORD — The J.F. Webb girls basketball team improved to 2-0 on the young season, defeating Person 40-17 to head into the holiday break on a high note.

The Warriors held the Rockets to single digits in all four quarters, as they entered the half with a 22-10 advantage.

Allowing just seven points over the final two quarters allowed Webb to extend their lead and put the contest well out of reach.

An opening night victory over crosstown rival Oxford Prep last Friday helped the Warriors in their quest for their first 2-0 start since the 2017-2018 season.
