The Jets trailed 3-2 late in the third period before Ehlers tied it with 1:20 remaining after a scramble following a faceoff deep in the offensive zone. Stastny then scored the winner with 1:01 left off a deflection.
Atlanta Braves reliever A.J. Minter emphatically pumped his fist coming off the mound after an inning-ending strikeout in Game 1 of the World Series. Earnings for China's power utilities during the first three quarters of 2021 have plunged as the companies were squeezed by surging coal costs that they could not pass on to consumers. Huadian Power International, a subsidiary of China Huadian Corp on Tuesday reported profits for the January-September period dropped 58% from a year earlier to 1.6 billion yuan ($251 million) with a third-quarter loss of 1.8 billion yuan. Huaneng Power International, a listed arm of China Huaneng Group, also said their earnings in the first nine months of the year dropped 91% year-on-year to 783.9 million yuan, with a third quarter loss of 3.5 billion yuan.
A woman put a pair of wombats to work to clip her lawn in Canberra, Australian Capital Territory.This footage, filmed by wildlife carer Sharon Woodward, shows the two wombats, named Sylvie and Tina, happily chomping on the long grass in Woodward’s yard. In a post accompanying the video, Woodward said: “It was a beautiful day yesterday so I got the lawn clippers out.
