Wareham's Brooklyn Bindas caps perfect season with SCC Singles Crown

Wareham’s Brooklyn Bindas completed her undefeated 2022 high school season with a long-delayed win over Fairhaven’s Kaydin Pinto on Friday in the South Coast Conference Individual Girls Singles Tournament final at Wareham High.

Bindas, a sophomore, won 6-1, 6-3 to finish the year a perfect 25-0.

“(It was) excellent tennis between good friends as the two best girls in the SCC battled each other and the hot weather,” said Wareham head coach Geoff Swett.

Bindas helped Wareham girls tennis make its first state final appearance in school history, but the No. 2 Vikings lost to top-seeded Hamilton-Wenham 4-1 in the Div. 4 state final last month to wrap up a 25-1 year.
