STORY: Speaking to the attendees ahead of the meal, the US President said he was working for all Americans, urging both sides of the aisle to work together.

“I said I want to be president for everybody, not just for blue states or red states, but for everybody", Biden said,

"I think that when we work together, we are able to get things done."

Bipartisan agreements like the Infrastructure Act would "rebuild the country in the next ten years" he said.

Among the attendees at the dinner were Vice President Kamala Harris, state governors and their partners, and advisors to the president.
