Voting early for Oklahoma's runoff primary election? Here's everything you need to know

Early voting begins Thursday across the state for Oklahoma's runoff primary election.

All registered voters can participate in early voting from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. To view a sample ballot and find out where your county hosts early voting, go to okvoterportal.okelections.us.

Most counties, including Oklahoma County, host early voting at their county election board. The Oklahoma County Election Board is at 4201 N Lincoln Blvd.

There are six statewide runoff elections, including state treasurer, superintendent of public instruction and both U.S. Senate seats. Republican contenders for the labor and corporation commissioners will also be on the ballot.

Oklahoma County voters will be voting on district 1 and 3 county commissioners, the district attorney and some state legislative seats.

Absentee ballots must be returned by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Tuesday, Aug. 23

Voters must bring a proof of identity. Options include an Oklahoma driver's license or ID card, a passport, a military ID, a tribal membership card or the voter identification card issued by the county election board.

While only registered Republicans can participate in Republican primaries, Democrats and independents can vote in Democratic primaries.

Absentee ballots must be received by the county election board by 7 p.m. election night, or hand-delivered by the end of the business day Monday, Aug. 22.

For those voting on Election Day, check the voter portal or your voter identification card to find your polling place. The polls will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 23.
