Athens Christian's Jaylen Jackson was voted Athens-area's Week 7 high school football player of the week.
Jackson earned more than 33% of the 20,924 votes cast at OnlineAthens.com.
In Athens Christian’s 45-7 victory over Loganville Christian, Jackson caught a touchdown pass and returned a kickoff for a touchdown.
He edged out East Jackson's Gary Maddox (27%) and Oglethorpe County's Will Sampson (17%)
The poll will be open from Monday morning until Wednesday at 8 p.m.
